THE HISTORY:
The Susquehanna Valley Balloon Company was established in 1986 at the Lancaster Airport by Marvin Miller Jr. and Nicholas Moehlmann. Their approach has always been to introduce people to the joys of flying in a hot air balloon in a fun and safe environment.
THE PILOT:
Brett Engroff is SVBC’s owner and pilot. Brett has been ballooning since early childhood and grew up in a ballooning family! He’s logged more than 300 hours in the air and has more than 20 years of experience in flying hot air balloons.
By day, Brett is a fixed-wing pilot with three jet ratings, a certified scuba diver, and served in the U.S. Air Force. When not flying for SVBC, he can be found camping with family & friends and sharing his love of ballooning with his two young daughters.
